GENERAL WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

We are currently looking to recruit a General Assistant to support the Warehouse Team at The House of Bruar main site.

The role:
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies, ensuring accurate recording of findings.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and applying relevant pricing tickets.
- Transferring received stock into proper product locations within the Warehouses to ensure efficient and accurate picking of the stock in future.
- Moving stock around by hand.
- Efficient order picking/loading/delivering to retail units and other warehouses.
- Receiving/processing internal stock transfers.
- Building and dismantling racking and other fixtures & fittings when required, being mindful of all aspects of health and safety.
- Recycling - Follow company policies and procedures for recycling and waste.
- Cleaning Duties – various cleaning duties to be completed daily in the warehouse.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock movements for admin purposes, and accurate recording of movements when required to do so.
- Keeping paperwork up to date, legible and stored properly to ensure traceability in future.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills and good numeracy skills.
- An organised and methodical worker with an eye for detail, checking for errors as you go through your day-to-day duties.
- Ability to work quickly and to deadlines, being mindful of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to complete paperwork and count stock items, to record findings and relay to relevant persons to action.
- Good team working skills, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a larger team.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations and instructions.
- Honesty and reliability, ability to work on a flexible basis.
- Driving licence/fork lift truck certification preferred.
