Sculptor and stone carver Laurence Broderick has always had a keen appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the natural world, and his work shows a preoccupation with wildlife of every persuasion, particularly those animals whose habitat or very survival has been threatened by the encroachment of man. Otters have been a particular object of fascination for him, with their elusive nature proving an excellent subject for his distinctive enigmatic and free-flowing style.
