Boasting a deeper back for a more secure fit and an extended peak, this classic cap is available in a variety of heritage fabrics - perfect for the country gentleman. An eight-piece cap with the crown free from the peak, the cap style was a favourite with newspaper sellers, but was later adopted by the upper classes, becoming known as a golf hat or driving hat. Handmade in the UK, this hat uses superb British-woven tweed with a satin lining.

About Tweed
Tweed's humble beginnings reach back to the early 19th century when it was first hand-woven in Scotland as warm, durable work wear for crofters. When the nobility of the British Isles stayed in Scotland they adopted tweed, wearing it on their grand Highland estates, particularly for country sports. With traditional designs including checks, herringbones and barleycorns, tweed has become an icon of British and Scottish style.
