Using superb tweed sourced from one of Britain's rare mills, our men's British Saxony tweed plus fours are cut for ultimate ease of movement.

The medium length of our plus fours, combined with their baggy yet smart fit, are designed for maximum flexibility when enjoying a day of sport. Traditionally popular for golf as well as field sports, these will be the most practical piece in your country wardrobe. Classically cut, our plus fours fall eight inches below the bottom of your knee, and will then be worn folded back, resulting in the 'plus four' format, also featuring a flapped back pocket with a button, side pockets and buckle fastenings on each leg.

About Tweed

Tweed's humble beginnings reach back to the early 19th century when it was first hand-woven in Scotland as warm, durable work wear for crofters. When the nobility of the British Isles stayed in Scotland they adopted tweed, wearing it on their grand Highland estates, particularly for country sports. With traditional designs including checks, herringbones and barleycorns, tweed has become an icon of British and Scottish style.
