Gardens are good for the Soul...
Recreating the glorious gardens that were part of the original vision for the Atholl Palacehas been a particularly important passion of ours at the hotel. Our gardeners’ hard workand imaginative planting has been rewarded with several prizes from the Pitlochry in BloomCompetition over the last few years.
The gardens have been developed with walkways and seats to encourage all, both hotel guestsand day visitors, to relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife and array of plants and colour.
The remarkable specimen trees, planted as the hotel was being built from 1874, have beendescribed as “an undiscovered arboretum”, and are part of Perthshire’s Big Tree Country.
The formal gardens, at the front of the Hotel, are a constant blaze of colour throughout thesummer. They offer a unique setting for photographs, a quiet drink or romantic strolls.
