Perthshire - The Falls of Bruar

Perthshire is one of Scotland's most scenic areas, and the Falls of Bruar are certainly one of the highlights of this particular region. Rabbie Burns immortalised the Falls in his poem The Humble Petition of Bruar Water to the Noble Duke of Atholl, in which he bemoaned the lack of greenery around them - thankfully, this situation was soon rectified, and the Falls are now swathed in lush foliage that accentuates the natural beauty of the spot.

No visit to Perthshire would be complete without a viewing of these spectacular falls. The House of Bruar is located directly at the foot of the falls, and makes an excellent base for anyone who wants to explore one of Perthshire's scenic gems. After a leisurely ramble taking in the Falls, you can drop into the House of Bruar for a bite to eat in our restaurant, and then browse through our food hall and country clothes selection.
